After a year of welcoming and embracing the CANA year in Northern France, we felt the need to come together for a training session with district leaders and members of the CANA core groups. On September 12 and 13, in Tigery (France), we enjoyed a time of fellowship, sharing, prayer, and training, where everyone was able to voice their questions, concerns, and convictions, and gain a deeper understanding of this new approach to offering CANA.
This time allowed us to come together as one, to strengthen our commitment to our mission, and to better understand the purpose of the CANA year. The role of district leaders is evolving, taking on a more pronounced pastoral dimension: personally accompanying each couple in their spiritual growth and helping them to hear, at the heart of their journey, the call to follow Christ.
The goal of this training was therefore to better equip the leaders and members of the core groups, to work together on the various CANA initiatives, and to renew everyone’s missionary zeal.
